Important Halo or Sublative Laser Pre-Treatment Instructions

Injectables (Botox, Dysport, Dermal Fillers, Sculptra) should not be done for at least 2 weeks prior to laser treatments.

Avoid Sun for 4-6 Weeks Before Treatment: Tan skin cannot be treated as you risk burning the skin. Therefore, please take special care to avoid the sun and tanning beds on the area to be treated for 4-6 weeks before treatment. Wear broad-spectrum sun protection with SPF 30 or higher on any exposed area every day

Avoid anti-inflammatory/blood thinning medications for 5 days prior to your treatment:

Discontinue Retinoic Acid (Retin-A / Retinol) or any irritant topical agents 7 days prior to treatment.

Please arrive for your treatment with a clean face. There should be no lotion, make-up, or SPF on the skin to be treated.

After Care: Halo or Sublative Laser Post Treatment

Post treatment redness and is normal and expected. Pinpoint bleeding may occur and can be gently dabbed with gauze. Acetaminophen (Tylenol) may be used if necessary for discomfort.

Tiny crusts will usually form 24-72 hours post treatment and may remain for several days. The crusts should not be touched or scratched and should be allowed for fall off naturally.

We recommend our post procedure kit be used up to 1 weeks after treatment.

Use tepid water to wash your face for the first 5 days. Cleanse with a gentle cleanser. Do NOT rub, scrub, use an exfoliant, or a skin care brush.

Moisturizer should be applied generously next day after treatment and reapplied whenever your skin feels dry. If desired, make-up may be applied 24 hours after treatment.

No sun exposure. Sunscreen MUST be used daily and consistently for up to 3 months post procedure.

A normal skin care regimen may be resumed after 7 days.
