What is Radiesse?

Radiesse®, calcium hydroxyapatite, is a safe, new generation cosmetic dermal filler. Unlike a traditional Hyaluronic Acid (HA) filler, Radiesse utilizes calcium-based microspheres that stimulate the formation of new collagen in the skin.

How does Radiesse work?

Calcium-based microspheres in the Radiesse provide a scaffold that promotes soft tissue in-growth. Fibroblasts (collagen producing cells) lay down a collagenous matrix. As matrix is deposited, calcium hydroxyapatite implant becomes integrated into the surrounding tissue, providing long-lasting, natural results. Calcium hydroxyapatite spheres are biodegradable and break down slowly over months to years. Because calcium hydroxyapatite is a normal constituent of bone, it does not elicit a chronic inflammatory or immune response lowering the risk of potential side effects.

Where is Radiesse injected?

Radiesse is used for the correction of facial lines and wrinkles, restoring a natural, youthful look in an easy, convenient treatment. Numerous medical studies have shown that Radiesse is a long-lasting treatment to fill and correct jowls and jawline contours, as well as augmenting the mid cheek, chin and facial hollows.

How long do results last?

Radiesse is long lasting. The longevity ranges between 12 and 18 months. Radiesse is a great treatment option for patients who seek a longer lasting correction.

Do I need a Consultation?

Yes. Consultations for Cosmetic Injectable treatments are required for all new patients and any patient that has not been treated with us in over 2 years. The consultation allows us to educate our patients about our specific recommended treatments and products and involves them in the process of creating a treatment plan. A $250 Consultation fee is secured at the time of booking and is applied to the cost of any treatment received within 3 months of your consultation appointment.
